As you step inside, the warm aroma of freshly brewed coffee and tea envelops you, enticing you to savour a moment of tranquility. Our menu is a delightful mix, from light lunches to indulgent three-course meals that satisfy every craving. For those with a sweet tooth, our homemade cakes, baked daily, are simply irresistible.
But the true magic lies in our traditional afternoon tea. Picture gathering with loved ones as a beautifully arranged cake stand is placed before you, brimming with delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones topped with clotted cream, and an array of scrumptious cakes. It’s an experience that promises to create memories you’ll cherish forever. Every afternoon from 3:00 PM, guests can reserve their afternoon tea, making it the perfect way to celebrate a special occasion or simply indulge in the finer things in life. Please note, a 50% deposit and 24 hours’ notice are required.
As you enjoy your teatime treats, take a moment to appreciate the stunning views of our sub-tropical water gardens. The vibrant colours of the flowers, the gentle rustling of leaves in the breeze, and the soothing sounds of the flowing River Wey create a tranquil atmosphere that feels like a world away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The serene setting of The Wishing Well provides the perfect backdrop for relaxation and connection, whether you’re catching up with friends, celebrating a special occasion, or simply taking a moment for yourself. Wander along the winding paths, breathe in the fresh air, and let the beauty of nature rejuvenate your spirit.
We welcome everyone at The Wishing Well. Our café is wheelchair accessible, and our gardens are almost entirely wheelchair-friendly. We also have a disabled-friendly toilet and plenty of quiet spaces in the garden for visitors who prefer a calmer environment. Families are warmly welcomed too—we offer a kid-friendly menu and high chairs to ensure little ones are comfortable. And for those with four-legged friends, we’re a dog-friendly café and even sell tasty homemade dog treats! Well-behaved dogs are welcome to join you, and we provide water bowls to keep them refreshed.
The last sitting for cream teas, cakes, and bakes is at 4:30 PM, so plan your visit accordingly. Convenient parking is available at the nearby church car park, where donations are warmly welcomed. Alternatively, road parking is just a short walk away.
