After the success of previous years Weymouth is once again hosting an ELF WORLD RECORD attempt!!! Weymouth will also once again be filled with elves, in an attempt to smash the world record.
What to expect:
9-12 workshops to become elf-like making: hats, ears, collars and face-painting
12-1 pm register at Weymouth Pavilion to receive your wristband and be counted for the record attempt. with a photo op at 1pm
1:15-2pm – Dorset’s Largest Elf Parade, where we will fill the town with the sound of elves singing throughout the streets, all led by a marching band and Santa in his sleigh
1- 5pm – The main stage full of entertainment throughout the afternoon, including fun and japes with naughty elves, the Panto cast, local choirs and dance groups, ‘The Hooked’, street performers, Stilt walkers, buskers and a host of shops and eateries all joining in the fun, it’s the perfect festive family day out.
At 5pm the town’s Christmas lights, trees and Christmas Elf will officially be switched on from the main stage in New Bond Street, by the mayor, the winner of the primary times competition and the panto cast, and you can start to get into the festive spirit and sing along with CHILL the party band before experiencing Weymouth’s wide variety of pubs, clubs and entertainment, some staging Elf parties.
Throughout the Christmas period there will also be an ELF trail with a draw being held between Christmas and NEW Year for a bounty of gifts, tickets and discounts at local shops, restaurants and attractions.
