The Reveal Commissions have just been announced by Portland & Weymouth Towns of Culture – bringing over £25,000 of creative projects to our towns this autumn and winter.

From living advent calendars and street theatre to youth writing festivals, exhibitions, and even community stargazing 🌌 – these commissions celebrate local voices, identity, and imagination.

✨ Some highlights include:

Portland Advent(ure): 12 surprise performances across Portland this December

Yule Be Merry: Street theatre & a festive family show at Saint Nics Gallery delivered by Brave Bold Drama

The Other Life I Lead: Music residency amplifying queer and disabled youth (Oct 8–10)

Bankfest: Youth writing festival at Weymouth Pavilion (Oct 15–17)

Six Go to the Seaside: Photography exhibition on Weymouth identity at Saint Nics Gallery (Nov 7–10)

Under the Stars: Stargazing night at Sandsfoot Gardens with Friends of the Rodwell Trail and Sandsfoot Castle (Nov 29)

The Final Journey: Exhibition and “Wind Phone” remembrance project created by Antje Rook.

Weymouth Tudors at Christmas: Festive fun at Tudor House Museum by WADT🎄

These projects are funded by Arts Council England through the National Lottery, with support from Portland & Weymouth Town Councils.
